Day1 Athens

Welcome. Transfer to the hotel and free time. You will be provided with the information required for the beginning of the trip in the afternoon; otherwise, the information will appear on the information panels at the hotel reception area.
 

Day 2 Athens –Ferry Athens to Heraklion 

In the morning we will have a sightseeing tour of ATHENS. We will discover the 
  • Presidential palace, 
  • The Panathenaic stadium, where the first modern Olympic games were held, 
  • The national library, 
  • The bustling downtown squares. 
 
We will finish the city tour next to the Acropolis site. In the afternoon we will transfer you to the port of Piraeus to board the overnight ferry, which has similar facilities to those available on cruise ships. Accommodation in a double cabin. Night on board.
 

Day 3 Ferry Athens Heraclion – Heraklion

Arrival at 7:00 hrs. in Heraklion on the island of Crete. We travel following the coast towards the west of the island. RETHYMNO, beautiful coastal city of Venetian origin, dominated by its medieval castle. CHANIA, captivating city with impressive fortress and stately mansions; contested among Romans, Byzantines, Venetians, Genoese, Turks, Egyptians and Greeks throughout its history. Return to Heraklion at the end of the day.
 

Day 4 Heraklion

Today we include an excursion (admission and guided tour included) to the PALACE OF KNOSSOS, which will allow us to learn about the Minoan culture that gave rise to the Greek culture four thousand years ago. After the visit we cross the high mountains in the center of the island, we travel to the southern area, next to the Libyan Sea we visit AGIA GALINI, a picturesque town with labyrinthine streets, a fishing port and popular taverns. Time to have lunch and, if you’d like to, swim in the sea. Return to the capital of Crete.
Note: From November to April we will make a stop in the picturesque town of Matala instead of Agia Galini due to the end of the summer season and the general closure of businesses in this town.
 

Day 5 Heraklion

We will leave along the coast towards the east of the island. We visit the small town of Kritsa, PANAGIA KERA, a 13th century church with some of the best frescoes in Crete, admission included. After that AGIOS NIKOLAOS, arrival at this picturesque town with its natural port. Time for a walk and lunch. The next stop we will make is ELOUNDA, a place that was a city-state and today a beautiful tourist enclave. From here we include a boat ride and admission to the island-citadel of SPINALONGA, an ancient Venetian fortress that was later a leprosarium for a long time. Return by boat and continuation to HERAKLION  accommodation . 
 

Day 6 Heraklion –Santorini 

Early morning we have a transfer to the port. We take a fast ferry to the island of SANTORINI, arriving between 09:00 and 10:00 hrs. - by bus, among beautiful landscapes we go to OIA, without a doubt the most spectacular town on the island: white streets full of life, immense views over cliffs, castle remains and windmills. Time to walk and have lunch. After that we will visit FIRA, the capital of the island. We recommend sailing to the hot springs and contemplating the sunset from an old and classic Mediterranean boat.
 

Day 7 Santorini – Mykonos

After breakfast we take a ferry to MYKONOS. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. According to mythology, the battle between Zeus and the Giants occurred on this island. Free time afterwards to wander through its small streets, visit little Venice and the classic windmills.
 

Day 8 Mykonos

Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the island. We recommend visiting the island of Delos, birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, one of the most sacred places in Ancient Greece, or simply visiting the famous Paradise and Super Paradise beaches.
 

Day 9 Mykonos – Athens

Breakfast. At the scheduled time we will have a transfer to the port to take a ferry to the port of Piraeus. Arrival at night (around 23:00 hrs.).
Note: If additional nights are requested in Athens, a transfer from the port to the hotel is not included and will have to be invoiced. End of our services. Please, check the time of your flight in case you might need an additional night.


Dos
  • Do be aware that that Greeks like to talk and you should also try to communicate as much as you could.
  • Do try to speak in English ,as most of the Greek people knows it. 
  • Do your research as “where to eat in Athens” for best experiences. 
  • Do carry sunscreen and lather on. 
  • Do manage your itinerary as such that you keep Sunday as rest day, coz most of the shops are closed on Sunday. 
  • Do visit from April to October, coz winters are super cold and all the activities are closed. 
 
Don’ts
  • Don’t be lured by the waiters in the restaurants in touristy places, coz most of the these places are not good enough what Greece has to offer as food-wise. 
  • Don’t come to Athens around August 15th , coz it’s a big holiday season for the locals and most of best bars and restaurants are shut. 
  • Don’t wear hot pants or crop tops while visiting the churches or monasteries. 
  • Do not throw papers in the toilet , because Athens is an ancient city and the sewage system is pretty old.
