Tanzania - Serengiti

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our driver and he will take to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at leisure. In the evening, you will attend the tour briefing in preparation for the upcoming safari.

Overnight in Arusha

Morning our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00am and take you on a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will have a full-day game drive inside this park.The park is famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. From our open-roof vehicle, you'll experience seasonal swamps and savannah. The Tarangire River teems with wildlife, including birds, giraffes, impalas, lions, leopards, and elephants. You will have a picnic lunch at a picturesque spot before continuing your game viewing. Finally, you will head to your Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Overnight in Karatu 

After breakfast we’ll depart for the Serengeti. You’ll enjoy lunch in a suitable place inside the park. The rest of the afternoon will be spent on a game drive before you make you way to the camp. You will spend the second day on a full day game drive.

 

The Serengeti is well known for its migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. Be ready to see resident predators, including leopards, cheetahs, and lion, all fulfilling their role in the circle of life.

Overnight in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will head out for another game drive in the Serengeti National Park. You might spot the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard) before embarking on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves, offering an uninterrupted game-viewing experience. Arriving at the crater's edge, you will have a glimpse of what awaits you the following day—glistening streams, open grassland, and an infinite amount of animals. You will spend the night on the crater's edge, with the orange glow of sunset surrounding you.

Overnight in Ngorongoro Crater

The breathtaking views of the rising sun over the crater's edge reward early risers! After a hearty breakfast, you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the Seven Wonders of Africa and the most incredible ecosystems on Earth, formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano. It is 610m deep and covers roughly around 260 square kilometers. Due to its dense animal population of approximately    25 000, the crater offers the best game-viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In a matter of minutes, you will see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. You might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass with a bit of luck. After the game drives in Ngorongoro Crater, you will drive back to Arusha.

Overnight in Arusha

Today is the final day of your 7-day tour of Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After breakfast, we will take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport.The drop-off in Arusha will be either at the Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
