Welcome on arrival at Dimapur. Dimapur is one of the largest cities in Nagaland. It was the capital of the Dimasa Kachari Kingdom in the middle ages. After that head straight towards KOHIMA. (2-3 hrs drive) Rock Concert and Competition is the most happening and highlighted event of the festival. Various rock bands across the country participate in the competition. People from all around the globe throng to witness this fanfare. Hornbill Festival is held in Kisama, some 12 km from capital city Kohima. A dedicated and permanent structure and area has been laid out and named it Naga Heritage Village. All the tribes of Nagaland take part in this festival. The underlying concept behind this festival is to revive and protect the rich culture of Nagaland and display its extravaganza and tradition. The festivities of the festival starts by around 9.00 am. Various performances , competitions, dance, music events are held. The morning events goes till the afternoon and then there is a lunch break. Post the lunch the festival resumes. The best time for visitors is during the lunch and the evening time where you can enjoy the local and ethnic food stalls that are laid out. Hornbill Festival food is another means to understand the indigenous culture of Nagaland better.

Have an amazing experience at KHONOMA.. Khonoma is a picturesque village situated 20km from the capital Kohima. You can enjoy the view of dense forests, beautiful waterfalls and majestic mountains. The village is famous for its conservational ventures and has a good connectivity with the outside world. You can visit the paddy terraces where 20 types of rice are grown. By preserving a large part of community forests, the village has a set a good example. You should surely visit the white pillar in the village which commemorates names of those warriors who died in Khonoma battle against the British and the names of the warrior are Major C.R Rock, Lieutenant H.H, Nurbir Sai, and G.H Damant. Checkout from the Tourist Village and have some sightseeing in and around . After that our driver shall take you to the HORNBILL FESTIVAL and later in the evening head towards DIMAPUR .
